We are working with an established Precision Engineering company based near Allentown, PA who are recruiting for an experienced Quality Manager to join their management team.
The Quality Manager will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements are consistently met through robust quality systems, thorough root cause analysis, and proactive risk management.

Key Responsibilities of a Quality Manager include:
- Leading a team encompassing 2 Quality Engineers, and 3 Quality Inspectors.
- Lead, maintain, and continuously enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with IATF 16949 standards.
- Oversee the creation, submission, and approval of PPAP documentation to meet customer expectations.
- Drive APQP activities for new product introductions and engineering changes, ensuring smooth and successful launches.
- Direct root cause investigations and corrective action processes (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.) to resolve internal and customer issues.
- Track and improve quality performance metrics, including scrap, rework, customer complaints, and PPM, across production and assembly operations.
- Implement and manage Statistical Process Control (SPC) to ensure process capability, control, and long-term stability.
- Ensure suppliers consistently meet product specifications and capability requirements.
- Plan, conduct, and support internal and external audits to maintain compliance and certification.
- Design and deliver training programs to strengthen quality awareness and problem-solving skills throughout the organization.
- Act as the primary customer liaison for quality concerns, fostering strong relationships to support satisfaction and retention.
- Lead cross-functional Material Review Board (MRB) reviews of nonconforming material, driving timely resolution and corrective actions.
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality management to automotive quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and SPC.
- Proven track record in root cause analysis and corrective action methodology.
- Familiarity with precision measurement, CMM, manual gages and other inspection equipment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills, ability to engage with customers, suppliers, and internal teams at all levels.
- Ability to travel to customer or supplier sites as required.
