My client is an Industrial Products Manufacturer seeking a Production Manager to ensure their area meets production schedules, maintains high quality, and operates safely and efficiently. In this role, you’ll coordinate people, equipment, and processes to achieve targets, resolve bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement, all while building a strong, engaged, and growth-focused team.
Duties and responsibilities as a Production Manager:
- Lead daily production activities to meet quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.
- Monitor schedules, equipment use, and material flow for smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement lasting solutions.
- Improve workflows by addressing process slowdowns and boosting throughput.
- Supervise and support machinists, operators, and team leads.
- Promote cross-department collaboration to strengthen productivity.
- Track key metrics (output, downtime, scrap, efficiency) to drive improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, and Kaizen.
- Work with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve issues and uphold standards.
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and well-organized work environment.
Skills and experience required as a Production Manager:
- High School Diploma or Trade Certificate
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance
