My client is an Precision Engineering Company. They are looking to expand the team. This is working a 1st shift position Monday – Friday, with the salary on offer for this position being circa $30ph - $40ph depending on experience.
Duties and responsibilities as a Production Planner:
- Maintaining accurate records, preparing work orders and production reports, and tracking jobs and subcontractor performance throughout the process
- Coordinating production schedules to ensure timely delivery of finished goods
- Ensuring material availability for uninterrupted production operations
- Liaising with sales, production, shipping, material suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and enhance process efficiency
- Cost Tracking and Reporting: Monitoring project costs and communicating updates to the sales team
Skills and experience required as a Production Planner:
- Flexibility to work overtime and varying shifts when necessary
- Good understanding of costing and budgeting principles
- Able to liaise with suppliers and subcontractors regarding planning scheduling
- Basic knowledge of production scheduling principles
- Experience with ERP systems
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and GD&T to ASME Y14.5 standard
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes: milling, turning, mechanical assembly, and plating / finishing
This role is commutable from the following locations; Chelmsford, Westford, Billerica, Tweksbury, Dracut and many more
