Job Title: Process Technician / Injection Molding Technician
Location: Oxford, CT
Salary: $25-33 p/hour DOE
Shift: 2nd Shift Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm + overtime available
We are seeking a skilled Process Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and maintaining equipment.
This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various manufacturing techniques, particularly in plastics processing. Experience with Injection molding is a must!
Responsibilities
- Working in a team of 8
- Responsible for starting machines, optimizing processes, and troubleshooting part issues.
- Expected to minimize scrap, waste, and downtime while ensuring that jobs are started quickly and efficiently.
- Use best industrial practices and updated equipment.
- Optimize the process for new molds
- Start existing molds in accordance with pre-determined process
- Troubleshoot processes producing out-of-spec components
- Document and update new processes and procedures
- Verify the correct set up of injection molding machine
- Work with production manager to propose and execute cost reduction strategies
- Support quality objectives and safety initiatives
