Manufacturing Engineer

We are working with an established precision engineering and manufacturing company based in the Milwaukee area. They are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in return for a competitive salary (DOE) along with excellent employment benefits which include 401K, Healthcare, Vision and Dental, PTO and Life Assurance.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Facilitate coordination of all technical phases of manufacturing for existing and new products
- Develop and maintain customer files and documentation required for the processing of new parts
- Create initial routings and manufacturing documentation to support production planning and capacity management
- Develop process sketches, operation procedure sheets, and Bills of Documents for machining operations
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes through analysis of product design, tooling, materials, and fabrication methods
- Work with vendors and subcontractors to source materials and support subcontract manufacturing operations
- Analyze workflow, production scheduling, labor and material costs to support operational decision making
- Improve manufacturing efficiency through process improvements, layout optimization, and equipment utilization
- Support engineering change notices (ECNs) and ensure updates are properly implemented in manufacturing documentation
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and cross-functional engineering reviews
- Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities including daily part review and disposition decisions
- Maintain accurate manufacturing documentation including customer drawings and production records
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Manufacturing or Engineering related degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience within machining or machine shop environments preferred
- Experience with process improvement and manufacturing documentation
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Knowledge of CAD systems (SolidWorks preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and process improvement methods
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and suppliers
