Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of all facility equipment, with a strong focus on injection molding and blow molding machinery. This is a hands-on role that involves performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and support production goals.
Must have Injection Molding experience for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-On Maintenance: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all plant equipment, including injection molding and blow molding machines, robots, and auxiliary systems.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Act quickly to resolve breakdowns and get production lines back up and running.
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute the preventative maintenance program to ensure all equipment is well-maintained and operating at peak efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in problem-solving activities and offer insights to improve machine performance and reliability.
- Facility Support: Assist with general building and grounds maintenance as needed.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lock out/Tag out procedures, and actively participate in safety reviews.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or a similar role in a manufacturing environment. Experience with both injection molding and blow molding equipment is a must.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills to diagnose complex equipment issues.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to work with production teams and management.
