Maintenance Planner

You will be a key member of the team at a manufacturing facility in South Fort Worth, Texas, supporting the plant's overall business goals. The ideal candidate will be a skilled Maintenance Planner responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing all planned maintenance activities. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our equipment and facilities by minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. This position requires a multi-skilled person to perform all phases of maintenance planning within our organization.
General Responsibilities of a Maintenance Planner
- Develop and maintain preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans.
- Coordinate effectively with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and operations personnel to meticulously plan work based on equipment availability and production schedules.
- Act as a primary liaison between the maintenance department and other departments to facilitate clear communication and efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with the procurement department to ensure the timely availability of necessary parts and materials for scheduled and unplanned maintenance.
- Prepare detailed work orders, including mechanics assigned, required materials, and parts for upcoming maintenance tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the maintenance department's objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred). A relevant educational background is a plus.
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment, with a preference for experience within the Food Industry background.
- Proficiency and experience in utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), with Manager+ system experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and secure necessary parts and materials for maintenance tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage work orders, schedules, and resources efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with diverse teams and departments. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to anticipate and address potential maintenance issues proactively.
- Experience operating various equipment including forklift, pallet jack, scissor lift, and other material handlers.
