A leading food manufacturing company in Washington State is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead all plant maintenance operations and drive equipment reliability with minimal downtime. This is a key leadership role responsible for developing preventative maintenance programs, managing skilled technicians, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Maintenance Department to ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational efficiency
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams to address equipment breakdowns and minimize disruption
- Develop and implement Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules and reliability programs
- Establish and manage spare parts inventory procedures to ensure critical components are available
- Oversee maintenance personnel including hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews, and timecard approvals
- Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with Plant Management on capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements
- Build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring equipment and service expenditures align with financial objectives
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime and improving plant performance
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager within food manufacturing
- Strong background in preventative maintenance systems and reliability programs
- Experience leading maintenance teams in a high-speed production environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP)
- Experience working with vendors, contractors, and capital project management
