We are working with an established Precision Engineering Company based in Avon, OH. They are recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician to join their team on 2nd shift in return for a salary in the region of $31.50 - $36.50 p/h along with excellent employment benefits which include 401K, Healthcare, Vision and Dental.
Duties as an Maintenance Electrician:
- Use equipment such as ammeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to test connections, trace circuits, and ensure compatibility and safety of components.
- Maintain wiring, fuses, contactors, relays, and other components for manufacturing equipment.
- Replace circuit breakers, fuses, switches, relays, electrical and electronic components, and wire as needed.
- Utilize hand tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, and wire strippers, as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Periodically inspect equipment to ensure proper operation and address potential issues before breakdowns occur.
- Repair motors, transformers, generators, and electronic controllers on machine tools and industrial robots.
- Respond promptly to facility emergencies and equipment breakdowns.
- Perform lock-out procedures on equipment as needed to ensure safety.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures using a combination of electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and the National Electrical Code to ensure compliance and safety.
- Work with circuitry (240V, 400V 3-phase) and facilities electrical systems, including HVAC systems.
Qualifications & Experience required:
- 4 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial/manufacturing environment OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Electrical knowledge equivalent to a journeyman certification.
- Proficiency with testing equipment and tools used in electrical maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge approaching journeyman certification level.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting motors, transformers, and industrial robotics.
- Well-versed in the National Electrical Code and other relevant safety standards.
