We’re working with a well-established manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented Inside Sales Representive to join their team. This full-time, Monday–Friday role offers a salary of $65–80K plus excellent benefits, including 401K, healthcare, dental, vision, PTO, and life insurance.
This position plays a key role in preparing accurate quotations and cost estimates for custom parts, assemblies, and engineered solutions, supporting the sales process from initial inquiry through to order placement.
This role offers a 50/50 split between office-based work and time spent on the production floor.
Duties and Responsibilities as an Inside Sales Representive include:
- Review customer RFQs (Requests for Quotation), technical drawings, and specifications.
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for manufactured parts, materials, and labor.
- Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to gather data and validate pricing.
- Use ERP and estimating tools to build quotes and maintain pricing history.
- Liaise with the sales team to ensure quotes align with customer expectations and profitability targets.
- Communicate with customers to clarify technical requirements and address any questions regarding proposals.
- Track outstanding quotes and support follow-up activities to convert quotes into sales orders.
- Coordinate quoting activities across 3 local facilities within the group, ensuring consistency and alignment.
- Identify potential cost savings or alternative solutions during the quoting process.
- Support internal handover from estimating to production once a project is awarded.
- Travel 1-2 days per month could be required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in estimating or technical quoting within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ERP or quoting systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software.
