Job Title: Machine Commissioning and Service Technician
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 + Benefits
Shift Pattern: M-F, travel to client site required. Up to 60 days a year. Travel will be M-F(no weekends) and expenses fully paid for.

Machine Commissioning and Service Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on commissioning, quality control, and customer technical support for Manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, mechanically and electrically skilled, and motivated to deliver exceptional service to our customers while ensuring equipment meets our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Download to PLCs and HMIs, commission systems, and perform service/repairs, including working with high-voltage panels, sensors, motors, and controls.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components to identify and resolve issues.
- Inspect machinery for quality compliance and provide corrective feedback to assembly and engineering teams.
- Submit Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for equipment or process improvements.
- Collaborate with customers and internal staff to provide installation support and training.
- Commission, function test, and conduct quality control checks on all new equipment.
- Administer schedules, coordinate factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).
- Deliver technical training to customers and distributors.
- Provide high-quality technical phone support and maintain service call logs.
- Assist with product testing, trade show setup/teardown, and related machine functions.
- Travel required: approximately 25 - 50 days annually.
Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Proficient in reading mechanical assembly drawings and electrical schematics.
- Skilled in troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems.
- Possess a complete mechanical and electrical tool set.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel and perform some heavy lifting.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
