A leading Manufacturer is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations at its Monroe, Ohio facility.
This position will oversee a team of 12 Manufacturing, Process, and Controls Engineers, driving plant performance through engineering leadership, process improvement, and the successful introduction of new equipment and products.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong blend of engineering and maintenance experience, along with a solid understanding of manufacturing and process engineering, automation, controls, and electrical systems.
You will be responsible for the direction, planning, and organization of the Engineering function across the plant, so it is important that you are a strong people leader and excellent communicator with a focus on developing, training, and strengthening the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities as the Engineering Manager:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 12 Manufacturing, Process, and Controls Engineers

Provide engineering leadership to support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, and delivery

Support the introduction of new products, tooling, and manufacturing equipment

Analyse production data, workflows, and plant layouts to improve operational performance

Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex manufacturing and process issues

Work closely with manufacturing leadership and corporate engineering teams

Oversee capital projects, equipment upgrades, and engineering budgets

Identify opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, and manufacturing capability
Experience Required:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar discipline
-
7–10+ years engineering experience within manufacturing
-
3+ years leadership or engineering management experience
-
Strong understanding of automation, controls, and electrical systems
-
Background combining engineering and maintenance exposure highly desirable

Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement

Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills

Proven ability to develop, grow, and build high-performing engineering teams
This position is easily commutable from Dayton, Cincinnati, Monroe, Mason, Middletown, Springboro, Hamilton, Fairfield, Loveland, Sharonville, Lebanon, and surrounding areas.
