1st (6am - 4:30pm) or 2nd shift available (4pm - 2:30am),

$1.25 per hour shift allowance for 2nd shift.

Our client is recruiting for an Controls Technician / Automation Technician / Electrical Technician to join their team on 1st or 2nd Shift in return for a salary in the region of $35 - $40 per hour. You will be working at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Forney Texas.

The Controls Technician / Automation Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, optimizing, and replacing automated systems and controls throughout the production process within the facility. You will troubleshoot component parts, including motion sensors, control components, photosensors, and other vital technology.
Duties and responsibilities of an Controls Technician / Electrical Technician / Automation Technician:

Install, maintain, and replace automation systems at key points in the production process.

Troubleshoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components.

Troubleshoot and repair complex automation issues involving PLCs, sensors, drives, and robotic interfaces.

Support programming adjustments on Robotics, Siemens PLC systems, and system modifications under the direction of engineering.

Perform diagnostics and calibration on robotics, AGVs, and vision-based systems.

Collaborate with engineering teams during equipment commissioning, upgrades, and process optimization.

Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and support implementation of short/long-term corrective actions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

At least 5 years of experience required in controls, automation and robotics

Experience with robotic programming and troubleshooting.

Proficient in operating and troubleshooting of PLCs and automation systems.

Familiarity with industrial robotics (KUKA, FANUC, ABB)

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and wiring diagrams.

Experience troubleshooting industrial automation systems in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented approach.
