Our client manufacturing client based in Cloverdale, IN are recruiting a Controls Engineer to join their team on Days (Monday – Friday) in return for a salary in the region of $82,000-$92,000 along with excellent employment benefits which include 401K, Healthcare, Vision and Dental, 2 weeks PTO and Life Assurance.
Duties and responsibilities as a Controls Engineer:
- Program and configure PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron) using Ladder Logic, Function Block, and Structured Text.
- Develop and integrate HMI/SCADA systems (FactoryTalk View, Omron, etc.).
- Design and troubleshoot industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, CC-Link, DeviceNet).
- Integrate and program robotics systems (FANUC, Yaskawa, UR) including safety protocols and calibration.
- Tune and commission motion control systems (servos, steppers, VFDs).
- Design electrical systems and control panels using AutoCAD; read and troubleshoot from schematics.
- Design and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
- Assist with machine building – from reading mechanical blueprints to precision assembly and basic fabrication.
Qualification/Experience required as a Controls Engineer:
- Preferred a Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering or similar field.
- Must have prior experience manufacturing and production environments.
- Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) troubleshooting knowledge
- Able to understand machine calibration, functions, and preventative maintenance schedule
