Accounting Manager
Location: Smyrna, GA
Salary: $120,000 – $130,000 DOE
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, Core Business Hours

Job Position Summary:
We are working with an established Industrial Equipment Manufacturing company based in Smyrna, GA. They are recruiting for an Accounting Manager to join their team in return for a competitive salary (DOE) along with excellent employment benefits which include 401K, Healthcare, Vision and Dental, PTO and Life Assurance.
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing daily financial operations, managing AR/AP activities, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role will also lead key finance initiatives including ERP implementation, budgeting, and financial analysis while mentoring a small accounting team and supporting strategic decision making.
Duties and responsibilities as an Accounting Manager:
- Oversee the full monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes ensuring timely and GAAP-compliant reporting.
- Supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities to maintain accurate financial records and optimize cash flow.
- Maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Mentor and support accounting staff including AR/AP team members.
- Oversee fixed assets accounting and manage depreciation schedules in line with tax regulations.
- Support and lead the final stages of ERP system implementation including testing, data migration, and process improvements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with audit and tax requirements.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial governance.
- Lead annual budgeting processes and monitor financial performance through variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision making
Skills and experience required as a Accounting Manager:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in accounting with full financial cycle responsibilities.
- Previous managerial experience leading accounting or finance teams.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting standards and financial reporting processes.
- Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
